About the European Renewable Gas Training Centre

The European Renewable Gas Training Centre was founded on the first of July 2024 and performed the first course as a Masterclass “Derisking a Biogas plant” in October 2024.

The Training Centre has been established as a leading competence centre for consolidating knowledge on renewable gases throughout Europe.

Its primary mission is to develop highly skilled workforce by delivering up to date knowledge through courses and training programmes on the broad spectrum of renewable gases with an important focus on biogas and biomethane.

Renewable gases are essential for shaping a sustainable future. Notably, the biogas and biomethane sectors in Europe are experiencing rapid growth, leading to a substantial demand for skilled and well-trained professionals across all European countries. In addition, significant efforts are underway to scale up the availability of renewable hydrogen, with numerous developments currently in progress.

At European level, the renewable gas sector is impacted by various critical issues such as sustainability requirements, safety and health standards, gas quality, digestate and biogenic CO2 management, cross border trade, certification, and more. Meanwhile, at national level, specific interpretations and laws apply.

With its Courses and Masterclasses, the Training Centre will contribute to develop highly skilled workforce. These training programmes are offered at centralised locations but additionally can also be developed through tailored in-company trainings focused on your business need.
