Description

Many biogas plants are not operating and functioning at full capacity and are unintentionally underperforming. The anaerobic digestion process and its associated technologies require solid understanding and practical skills to ensure the highest efficiency and yield.

By deepening knowledge of the key technological and operational aspects, financial returns can be significantly improved.

This one-day course start focusing on the anaerobic digestion (AD) process (from hydrolysis to methanogenesis), and the physical and chemical conditions necessary for optimal performance.

Different types of feedstocks will be examined in relation to their impact on the AD process and technologies, with an emphasis on maximising biogas and biomethane yields.

From an operational perspective, the course covers the key aspects of controlling and monitoring the biomethane yield, including the upgrading process.

Participants will also learn about common malfunctions, interferences, potential pitfalls, and effective troubleshooting techniques.

The course includes case studies, offering opportunities for Q&A, discussion, and knowledge sharing with experts in both the technological and operational fields.
